This is the seven-branch menorah, the menorah of the Temple in Jerusalem and one of the oldest symbols of the Jewish people. It is a decorative piece for the home or the Shabbat table. It is not a Hanukkah menorah: a Hanukkah menorah (hanukkiah) has nine branches.

No. Hanukkah needs a nine-branch menorah, with eight lights plus the shamash. See our Hanukkah menorahs for that.

Can I light candles in it?
Yes, it takes small standard taper candles. Never leave lit candles unattended, and set it on a heat-safe surface.

How do I care for it?
Wipe with a soft dry cloth. Avoid water and polish on the enamel.
